- Report this post Leaguewide Major League Soccer ticket sales are up 15% compared to 2023. Regular season ticket revenue up 25%. Preseason ticket sales have increased by 7x compared to last year, with sales for every team up from last season. The league said subscribers to MLS Season Pass on Apple TV have more than doubled since Messi’s arrival, and Spanish language viewership on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV has surpassed over 50% for his matches. Messi played the first half of the match, generated the most single-day traffic in MLSSoccer.com’s history, with 49% of viewership on the site in Spanish. Messi is propelling sponsorship and merchandise sales for his franchise and the league and the team expects sponsorship revenue to double in 2024 from $27 million. The league said sponsorship revenue is up 17%, and clubs’ sponsorship revenue is up 15% year-to-date over 2023. MLSstore.com’s sales are also up 44% from last year, and traffic on the site is up over 102% year-to-date compared to the previous year. The outcome, however, left many pondering: why did Ngannou, a formidable force in his own right, fall to Joshua? The answer lies not in strength or skill alone but in the nuanced strategies of the sweet science. Agility and Experience: Joshua, known for his agility, moved with a grace that belied his size. Unlike Tyson Fury, whose style is unorthodox, Joshua’s agility stems from a classic English boxing pedigree. This experience in the ring, honed through countless matches on English soil, gave Joshua the edge in anticipating Ngannou’s moves and countering effectively. Humility vs. Self-Confidence : Humility in the face of one’s own abilities is a trait often overshadowed by the bravado that fighters display. - Report this post For those wondering, I don’t have too many thoughts on the Saul Alvarez - Premier Boxing Champions deal other than it is logical for a promotional free agent to explore his or her options. What I will say is this if the PBC does stay with Paramount, seeing as the merger between Showtime Networks and Paramount+ begins next week, they should use Alvarez to push subscriptions to Paramount+ and move away from PPV. Davis-Garcia in April may have done a million buys initially, but there were also significant refunds issued so the actual number was likely much lower and Paramount should be smart enough to know that people will not continue to embrace paying fees that are not consumer friendly regardless of who is at the top of the card if people are unable to watch it via streaming. It’s literally throwing money away. Given the state of the PBC, they too should be smart enough to realize that. You will get more eyes to watch your events by making it economically reasonable and that does not begin at a near $90 price point. Fighters also should see that they are losing money by continuing to rely on PPV. At some point, things have to change. #Boxing 3 Like Comment Share
